Additionally, shredding service personnel carry hard drives outside the facility into the parking lot, and, by their actions, admit the dangers. Additionally, the data’s security becomes completely compromised as it moves into the parking lot. Furthermore, over the years, lone workers steal or lose these vulnerable hard drives. All-in-all, no one can safely shred inside a business location — and parking lots are no place to perform such a task.
