IT System Engineer

We seek a proactive, determined, technically competent entry level engineer as we expand our audit teams. Ideal candidate will have experience with servers and their operating systems in the datacenter infrastructure and in data security. In addition, a familiarity with data eradication solutions and training skills are preferred. This unique candidate will have the drive, tenacity, and independence to thrive in an organization where initiative and adaptation to change will be required.

- Inspect and label product
- Remove all proprietary marking (asset tags) and Certificate of Authenticity (COA)
- Place the product on the proper cart and move it through the production area
- Obtain the specific data from the product and input it into TechR2’s Inventory Manager correctly
- Wipe customer information from the digital devices per standard
- Degauss magnetic devices per standard as required
- Destroy solid state devices per standard as required
- Perform data destruction procedures on storage servers per standard as required
- Palletize product
- Maintain safe work practices
- Maintain company confidentiality
- Maintain a clean and orderly working environment
- Complete training on new or updated processes as required
- Perform other duties as assigned
- Perform in a professional manner and be in uniform when traveling and while performing onsite services
- Pass audit technician 1 exams for each for auditing, degaussing, solid state and storage servers at 85% or above
Qualifications Needed:
The applicant must have the following qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED
- Type at 25 wpm and have basic Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook skills
- Ability to use instructions and guidelines to perform the functions of the job
- Ability to regularly sit, stand, walk, stoop, kneel, reach and bend
- Ability to lift, lower and carry up to 70 pounds
- Ability to work in a high-volume warehouse environment
- Willingness to travel up to 50% of time
- Valid driver’s license
- Will undergo screenings, such as; background, credit and federal I-9 requirements
